Open Domain Question Answering (ODQA) needs to handle questions from any topic. Traditional sparse models like TF-IDF struggle with context, synonyms, and rare words, especially in languages like Odia. Dense models like BERT and systems like DPR and RAG solve these issues by using context-aware embeddings, leading to better accuracy, speed, and scalability in ODQA tasks.
